I’m a massive fan of the Clarisonic skin cleansing brush as I find it more effective than washing with my own two hands. We all know that electric toothbrushes are more through- well the brush cleans deep dopwn and leaves you skin looking fresher and more refined. They’ve just realased a USA ersion of the Clarisonic Mia with a jaguar skin, whioch I think is nice. The plain white version might be more clinicval and ‘professional’ looking, but theses jaguar colours have a wider market appeal and add some colour yto the bathroom.
This set contains:
– Clarisonic Mia One Speed Brush
– International pLink™ charger for worldwide use
– Sensitive Brush Head
– 1.0 oz Gentle Hydro Cleanser
Not so long ago I was interviewing a makeup artists for her tips on smokey eyes, when I stopped concentrating on her words of wisdom and starting getting major infatuation over her makeup desk. See, it was no ordinary makeup mirror/ desk combo, no it was a beautiful Hollywood style lightbulb popping mirror with places for brushes, powders et al- and it folded up into a wheelable trolley. Cue girly screaming and incessant off topic quizzing about the lush looking trolley.
Frustratingly I was told she bought it in East Asia and she didn’t know of any stockists. I found it recently online, and it still looks just as lovely. but also just as out of reach. It’s a pretty heavy case, so shipping would be more than it’s worth! Sob.
Still.. it might be worth it? What say you?
We all know that applying foundation with a brush is technically better- you use less product, get smoother coverage etc- but sponges are just so damn convenient. It’s why I love Cult Beauty’s Beauty Blender so much, and this Blender brush seems to have taken the famous pink sponge and transported it onto the top of a brush!
Easy to hold, easy to clean, you’ll get a lovely coverage by stippling it gently over you skin to spread the product, and the conical design lets you reach hard to get areas, like the sides of the nose. I can’t see it on a UK site yet, but it’s def on my wishlist.
It features over 2500 Swarovski crystals applied individually (OMG, the time) and has titanium, plates, a PTFC heater ( uses far-infrared heat which gives even heat and has an instant reheat feature, plus safely penetrates the hair and protects it whilst styling it) , a digital temperature control and torumaline ceramic plates.
Such a simple idea I’m surprised no one has done it first (if they have, correct me). Sephora have taken the humble Kabuki brush, known for its skin buffing and mineral makeup application qualities, and given it a floral makeover. It now looks like a delicately closed daisy, in a pretty shade of pink and black. You get two brushes in this stem and the larger is clearly more adorable, though the small one would be more portable. Continue reading
