Free Chloe bag with perfume from the Perfume Shop

This might not be the coveted Paddington bag, but it’s probably the closest any of us will come to a Chloe bag this March- and it’s free, yes FREE. This pretty pouch will be yours when you buy any Chloe 50ml fragrance from the Perfume Shop between the 10th March and the 3rd April 2011. I love the dusky rose colour and the gold trim gives it that extra something. Continue reading

First Aid Beauty will treat every skin complaint

There’s been a recent shift in the last few years for products that are more results focused and that’s exactly what First Aid beauty is about, packaged in clinical style bottles, the products all aim to treat different concerns, from ageing to acne and redness. The products are all infused with botanicals and are paraben free and also free from phthalates, alcohol, fragrances and artificial dyes.

I think they look very chic, and the low price point means it’s an affordable way for people to use products that work. Do they work though? I have yet to try them, but have my eyes on their creamy cleanser and eye Detox roller (which looks Garnier inspired: just saying…)

Curlformers take hairstyling back to the ’80’s

I’m very intrigued by Curlformers styling products. The brightly coloured ‘curlformers’ (or thingamajigs) give one a strange Eighties appeal and remind me of the wraps people used to sleep in. Thankfully these require no overnight wearing, and a simple application will give you dreamy looking curls.

The concept is pretty simple, separate the hair, choose the Curlformer, apply, wait and remove. The images all look like they’re highly effective and the different colours each signify which way the hair curls- one is forwards and the other backwards. Continue reading

A England Nail Varnish : Inspired by King Arthur

This nail varnish range takes its inpiration from ye olde England with names like Gunivere, King Arthur, Galahad and the Holy Grail. Each varnish has a story- MorganLeFay is a ‘luminescent white silver: The most venerable and easiest to apply’. I love that the Knight is a base coat and The Shield is a topcoat.

The inspiration for the range was the love of England, its moody weather, gothic buildings and charm. I think it’s adorable!

Get them for £9.50 here. Continue reading

Rimmel Glam’Eyes eyeshadows

I like a lot of Rimmel products ( I swear by their brow pencil) but their eyeshadows are always a bit ‘meh’ for me. I like highly pigmented shadows and they tend to be so neutral it’s like Kate Middleton commissioned them just for her. I’m quite drawn to these shadows though, as the colour choices are vibrant, and the textured paneling is very lush looking. From £4.49 to £6.99 today in Boots. Continue reading

Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers new scent

I’d love to tell you all about this new scent but I can’t- it’s strictly on a need to know basis only. I can say that this is a STANDALONE scent, which only features a Gwen styled bobble headed doll bottle (with strokeable hair) and will be out in the summer. This a new move for the Harajuku Lovers perfume range.. and an interesting one. Continue reading

Orly to release mini nail polish shades at Boots

I’m a huge FAN of Orly nail varnish shades, but OI do know that the regular pricepoint isn’t always accessible. That’s why I’m so happy that they are launching an affordable mini nail varnish range at Boots. They’re not skimping on products, as you get 48 colours and 2 Orly Mani Mini treatments to choose from. That’s easily enough to fall in love with the brand- and mini varnishes are soo much better, as you’ll actually use it up before it dries up! They will be £5 from Boots on the 8th March 2011.
